Cheryl ‘wants to stay looking young’ as fans question star’s appearance

Girls Aloud star Cheryl has been turning heads with her new look. The band, including Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, and Nicola Roberts, recently attended a London Fashion Week event in Mayfair.

They were there to remember their late friend, Sarah Harding, and announce a tour for later this year.

Cheryl, who used to be a judge on X Factor, looked different with her hair in a high bun and a choppy fringe. She wore a long black dress with lace and cut-outs, and carried a pink satin clutch.

People first saw Cheryl on TV in 2002 when she was just 19 and won a place in Girls Aloud on Popstars: The Rivals. Since then, she’s often changed her style and look.

Some fans questioned the singer’s youthful appearance after she turned 40 in June. One person queried if she ever had undergone some form of cosmetic procedure while another added, “Cheryl looks so different”.

A source told OK! that while there’s no suggestion Cheryl has gone under the knife, but does have a skin regime to maintain her youthful glow.

“She may have had a few little tweaks here and there. And she looks good,” they said. “She wants to stay looking good, young as ever, and wants to look like she used to when she first started out in the band.”

Cosmetic surgeon Paul Banwell addressed Cheryl’s recent appearance.

He told OK!: “Cheryl looked simply stunning as she and the other Girls Aloud ladies hit the town. She has always been a natural beauty and is blessed with amazing looks. She undoubtedly takes care of herself and has always taken a holistic approach with exercise, self-care and in my opinion possibly a few tweakments, too.”

As for anything more extreme, like cosmetic surgery, Cheryl has always denied having such work done.

In 2019, when Cheryl made her return with a new single, Love Made Me Do It, fans were surprised by her changed appearance but she dismissed the cosmetic surgery rumours, saying her look was due to lack of sleep, wearing a wig and a “pillow crease”.

The singer, who shares a six year old son, Bear, with One Direction’s Liam Payne, told a magazine: “My whole body, even my face, everything’s changed since Bear was born. But I feel like I’m better than who I was. I don’t care what my body looks like in that respect. I’m not obsessed about it.”

“I created a life! I’m amazed by myself. And I’m kinder to myself because of it. I focus less on my insecurities because they’re so much less relevant.”
