Horse Racing Tips: 8/1 pick leads the line in tonight’s UK All-Weather action

Blackcurrent is a tough sprinter at this level and should go well but he is likely to face competition for the lead and might prove vulnerable. The Tron (second choice), Stroxx and Arzaak should appreciate a well-run race and can go well but ANOTHER ANGEL may be the answer. He dug deep to win over C&D earlier in the month and he probably wasn’t ideally positioned from stall 1 when fourth here last week.

Having finished runner-up in her last five starts Sugar Hill Babe seems likely to play a part again one way or another, but she is vulnerable for win purposes. Rose King is much respected following his debut win over 6f here this month, with the drop in trip not likely to be an issue, but it may be worth siding with CUBAN GREY. He found a 0-85 handicap at Wolverhampton too much last time, but had previousy run a thriving rival close at Lingfield.

Although this is a better race than he has been contesting lately, Moon Over The Sea comes into this in good heart so he has to make the shortlist for that reason. International Law, Young Winston, Six Strings and King Athelstan are all capable of making an impact if things pan out right, but it may be worth siding with SUN FESTIVAL. He didn’t find the race run to suit last time, but much of his AW form from last year would give him strong claims at this level.

Although he wasn’t that impressive last time the unbeaten French Invasion remains open to improvement and this return to a more galloping track should suit, but he faces a couple of interesting candidates from the James Tate yard. Handicap newcomer Regal Empire should appreciate the longer trip on breeding, but stablemate MIGHTY RIVER already has solid handicap form at this level and the return to this trip should suit judged on his latest effort.

An interesting race with several in-form sorts lining up. Local Bay is up in class but comes here at the top of his game, while there shouldn’t be much between Plastic Paddy, Chief’s Will (second choice) and Soames Forsyte judged on some recent intertwined formlines. TROPEZ POWER (NAP) bumped into a well-handicapped rival at Lingfield last time and he may well be able to resume winning ways having impressed here on his stable debut in December.

Brave Display is 6lb higher than for his win here 11 days ago and that rise might prevent him from following up. AL SUIL EILE goes well here and his consistency counts for plenty at this level. Galileo Glass is another with each-way claims under Oisin Murphy.

Gunnerside (second choice) has been hinting at better in recent starts and can go well, while Tricky Business is handicapped to win if he doesn’t face too much pace pressure early. Della Mare, Forever Dreaming and Twentysharesofgrey are others to consider but GISELLES IZZY has been a reliable performer this winter and she can go in again.

My Boy Jack escapes a penalty for Friday’s Wolverhampton win and has to be of interest from a handicapping perspective but he was given a fine ride and wasn’t helping his apprentice in the closing stages. He should go well but there are dangers. Ustath and Big Impact have claims but DEPUTISE has considerably more ability than your average runner at this level and this could be the day he finally ends his long losing streak.
