Arsenal kept their title hopes alive on the back of a clinical first-half performance which resulted in them taking a 3-0 lead.
Nobody predicted the second-half drama at that point with everything going against Tottenham, including a tight offside call from the VAR to disallow what would have been a Micky van de Ven equaliser for 1-1.
Ultimately the game ended 3-2 to the Gunners with Arteta admitting ‘I was praying. So many Spurs bodies in our box. It was a really emotional game, a very tough place to come’. Postecoglou bemoaned VAR once again but gave credit to Arsenal saying ‘they’re a team that does deal with the details well and we don’t’.
