Shri Vidhan Chandra Roy an officer of the 1992 batch of the Indian Postal Service has joined as the Chief Postmaster General of West Bengal Circle.
Shri Vidhan Chandra Roy is a respected and accomplished public servant who has made significant contributions to the Indian Postal Service.
Over the course of his career, he has served in various capacities covering different circles like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Assam, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Postal Directorate at New Delhi. He has also been on foreign deputation to the United States and the United Kingdom.
He was born in an agricultural family and completed his schooling at Sainik School Tilaiya, Jharkhand. Later he earned a degree from Delhi University before joining the service.
Outside of work, he is an avid traveller and has a special interest in trekking. He also enjoys exploring new places and has a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors.
