London Fashion Week’s most iconic celebrity looks as it celebrates forty years

London Fashion Week celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and, to mark the occasion, the British Fashion Council is taking over the Institute of Contemporary Arts for a line-up of curated panel talks celebrating the British fashion industry. These events willl run alongside catwalk shows to give attendees a rich cultural experience.

LFW usually takes place twice a year in February and September and this series of events has a special focus on the menswear fashion businesses in the UK. The idea is to spotlight London’s position as a world-leading cultural capital and amplify its creative community and this is planned as an ongoing addition to the fashion calendar.

Panel speakers over the next few days will include fashion designers Charles Jeffrey, Charlie Casely-Hayford and Rejina Pyo. Model and activist Munroe Bergdorf, model James Corbin and disability campaigner Victoria Jenkins will also be speaking. Meanwhile, designers who will be showing throughout the weekend include Denzil Patrick, Harri and Qasimi.

It is all in aid of a good cause as the proceeds from ticket sales will go to the BFC Foundation, which supports young creative talent. LFW is one of the big five fashion weeks worldwide and as such regularly draws the cream of celebrities.
