NFL confirms 2024 International Games in São Paulo, London and Munich | Sports Tourism News

The National Football League (NFL) has announced the schedule of the 2024 International Games that will be played in São Paulo, Brazil; London, England; and Munich, Germany.

This season’s International Games will begin in São Paulo in Week 1 of the regular season – with the Green Bay Packers taking on the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday 6 September at Corinthians Arena.

Minnesota Vikings will kick off the league’s return to Europe on Sunday 6 October as they play the New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London – the only purpose-built NFL stadium outside of the United States. The following Sunday, 13 October, the Chicago Bears will play the Jacksonville Jaguars, also at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The London focus then shifts to Wembley Stadium as the Jaguars take on the New England Patriots on Sunday 20 October. This is the second time Jacksonville will play back-to-back games in the UK, marking the team’s 12th and 13th regular season games in the English capital.

As part of the NFL’s commitment to playing regular season games in Germany, the Carolina Panthers will play the New York Giants in Munich at the Allianz Arena, home of FC Bayern Munich, on Sunday 10 November.

“We are delighted to announce these exciting matchups across London and Munich, in addition to the historic first game in São Paulo, Brazil, to complete the 2024 International Games slate,” said Peter O’Reilly, NFL executive vice president, club business, major events & international. “As the league and its 32 teams continue to prioritise international growth, we look forward to building on the incredible fan experiences seen in Europe while taking the game to new fans in South America.”

It has also been confirmed that the NFL will host its first international game in Spain in 2025. In partnership with Real Madrid, the game will take place at the recently renovated Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to the world-famous La Liga football club.
