Dancer Korra Obidi was rushed to hospital after being attacked with a knife in London, and having acid poured on her face.

The 32-year-old, who previously appeared on So You Think You Can Dance, shared a video of the aftermath of the ordeal on Instagram on Thursday, begging for help.

Alongside the clip, she wrote: ‘Currently in an ambulance to the hospital, there was a knife, acid attack on me in the UK in the middle of a live stream.

‘There’s been a lot of hate in the past but this physical assault is a wake up call.’

The Nigerian performer pleaded for anyone with information to come forward, explaining that her attacker was a ‘Black female, 5 foot’.

In the footage, Korra was seen breathing heavily on the streets of the capital, before telling viewers that her ‘face was burning’.

She asked an onlooker for their bottle of Coke to ‘wipe the acid’, pouring the drink on her face to soothe her injuries.

The Nigerian performer then panned the camera across to a yellow knife on the ground, with a blood splatter on the blade.

Elsewhere in the video, she was then treated by two paramedics – with one spraying a substance across her bare back, as the other poured an unknown liquid onto her face.

After she said the liquid was helping to stop her pain, he added: ‘That’s good, that means it’s working.’

In a follow-up comment, Korra confirmed that the substance she was attacked with was ‘salicylic acid’ – which is non-toxic and commonly found in skincare products.

‘Guys I’m in the hospital,’ she penned. ‘Safety with travel is no longer a luxury but necessity. The acid was salicylic and I was lucky. Love you guys.’

A police spokesperson confirmed that officers were called in the afternoon of April 11 over the assault, and an investigation is currently ongoing.

‘Officers attended and found a woman in her 30s with a cut to her hand and reporting a liquid had been thrown at her face,’ they told People Magazine. ‘She was taken to hospital for treatment.

‘Another woman left the scene prior to police arrival.’

Korra came to fame on season 16 of So You Think You Can Dance, in 2019, and appeared in the live auditions.

She didn’t go any further, with Bailey Munoz going on to win the overall show.

Taking to Instagram earlier today, the star showed off scars from her injuries, vowing that she’s ‘grateful’ for being able to escape the situation.

‘Escaped with the best possible scenario and this I am grateful,’ she added. ‘Hoping the investigations will yield some closure as to who the ring leader to all these attacks are.

‘I have been suffering in silence for 2 years since divorce. Glad this was LIVE and there is ample evidence. Don’t want to wait till the worse happens and help will finally come. This can only be God. Thank you everyone.’
