UK: Authorities will end limited COVID-19 travel restrictions on April 4 /update 1

Authorities will end limited COVID-19 international restrictions for travelers from China on April 4. Since Jan. 5, the Health Ministry has required that all persons traveling from China must have a negative test before they board a flight to the UK, taken no more than two days before departure. These restrictions will cease for all passengers whose flight arrives in the UK after 23:59, April 4.

The option for travelers arriving at Heathrow Airport (LHR) to take a voluntary COVID-19 test, to monitor for new variants, ended on March 17.

Authorities could ease, tighten, or otherwise amend restrictions with little-to-no notice based on disease activity over the coming weeks.

Follow all official instructions. Abide by national health and safety measures. Ensure contingency plans account for further disruptive measures or reintroduction of restrictions.
